Two people were sent to Hennepin County Medical Center Wednesday night when a man fired shots outside 19 Bar in the Loring Park neighborhood.

Police responded to a call at about 9:15 p.m. at the bar located near West 15th Street and LaSalle Avenue. Police said a man was asked to leave the bar after arguing with the bar staff, got upset and fired rounds toward the bar’s entrance. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

Police said the victims’ injuries are not life threatening.

Laura Getsch was on the back patio when the shots were fired near the front door. She said that he was on the patio unleashing his dog when the bar staff told him to leave.

“He also called himself Neo,” Getsch said. “He said that as he was leaving the patio. ‘Remember me, I’m Neo.’ It was strange.”

Witnesses said they heard six gunshots. Police are investigating the report and continue to seek information from witnesses.
