Power outage disrupts Green Line service

By Haley Egle

A power outage is responsible for bringing Green Line service and bus traffic to a halt on Washington Avenue near Stadium Village on Monday afternoon.

Metro Transit is working to get the Green Line back up and running. The University’s emergency text system was employed warning students and staff to find alternate routes.

LRT service has been disrupted between the Downtown East and Raymond Avenue stations. Metro Transit has replacement buses for riders impacted by the service disruption.

The intersection at Washington and Huron has been opened up for traffic again. An out-of-service Green Line train has been moved and is now in front of Moos Tower, out of the way of moving traffic.
